recycled vinyl banner

Why choose a vinyl advertising banner?
FACTS AND FIGURES:
Approximately 600 banners are produced annually in the Czech Republic alone. On average, around 300 advertising banners end up in collection yards each year.
As a whole, a banner cannot be recycled due to its composition, as well as the metal eyelets used to attach it to structures. As a result, it is sent to incineration plants, where it is melted as a whole. During this process, released gases enter the atmosphere as emissions that contribute to climate change.
The banner contains PVC, which produces toxic by-products when burned. The main products are carbon dioxide, water, and hydrogen chloride. Up to this point, it would not be a major issue, as strongly acidic hydrogen chloride can be relatively easily removed from flue gases.
However, the bigger problem is that highly toxic polychlorinated dibenzofurans and dibenzodioxins are formed as by-products. These substances are biologically and practically non-degradable. They spread through ecosystems via the water cycle (with water vapor), and significant amounts accumulate in living organisms.
