A children’s room inspired by Japanese culture and traditional elements of Japanese living. Wooden floors, fabric decorations on the walls and oversized windows. These three features of Japanese living used in the children’s room are not only linked by symbolism but are also underlined by some rules from the philosophy of feng-shui. The interior with the created second floor is composed of birch boards, which are used in several parts.
At the bottom, it is placed above the table and evokes a sense of privacy for the child. The structure on which the blind is attached cuts through the table and at the same time fixes it. The blind serves as a bunker that children constantly build from blankets in childhood.
The pendant lamps in the children’s room, placed according to the layout, designed
from shiny plastic for weight, are inspired by Japanese conical hats. This conical shape is minimally stylized and the lamp consists of the form of two hats that are connected. At the same time, with the idea of two children inhabiting the children’s room for whom the given interior is designed.
The wooden boards of the furniture and the overall layout are embedded into each other and the side boards of the upper floor so that they penetrate through and this reveal their form to the outside.
